Quest. D:
I'm a N/E8 and I'm having trouble with the quest Duke's Daughter. I had gone with a W/R9, E/Me9, and a Mo7. We died several times on the way, with -60% weakening. My normal HP gauge is at 250 and I was down to 42.. and we weren't able to find the ashes and whatnot. >_< It annoyed me sooo much 'cause we kept getting slaughtered by all the charr that mobbed us. v_v Then I had to log out 'cause it was late, I couldn't finish the quest. Would anyone be able to party up with me sometime this afternoon? ;_;

I was lvl 12 when I did those quests. They are very difficult without a good party. The ashes quest specially.
I did it with hench and my guild was amazed when I told them. I had -60% when I did it though.
*hint: for ashes quest you don't need to kill the charr around the alter, you just have to touch the alter.*

Yes, this was a very very hard quest. Me and my friend had alot of trouble doing it. Finally we got a group of 4 and 2 henchman. We got near the ashes, but there was still three huge groups of charrs left. We had the ranger lure away two groups and then I had my Elementalist friend run in first. Then I (warrior/monk) sprinted in and touched the ashes. We ended up getting it and then all died. But it worked.

Oh okay, sorry I'm new to this forum and I'm not exactly sure where to put my posts. ^^
Thankyou both though, I'll attempt to redo the quest sometime today. =)

You tried this quest at level 8?
Brave. This is like a 2000 xp quest, and from what I understand, was designed for 4 level 11s or 12s to complete.
Try the 500 xp ones first, then the 1000 ones first .

Yea, lol. It would be more helpful if there was some way I could see the level requirement for each quest I undertake. =x
I usually head straight-on towards any quest or mission. >_>;
Thankyou for the advice. ^^

Well the "2000xp" reward should have told you *something* about the quest.
I went through similar experiences as you. Four different parties in a single evening session. All four composed of four 9-12 characters. On the fourth attempt we finally *touched* the altar and then got smoked. We were already at -60%.
Last night I took my R/Mo 15 and tried to solo him with just henchmen. I was actually mopping the floors with them pretty good and approaching the altar when some guild mates called for a party. Oh well. Maybe tonight.
